About

About Sarah:
Sarah is an Indianapolis native. She loves her job as a volunteer manager and social media coordinator for a youth-serving agency in downtown Indianapolis. She holds a BA in sociology from Ball State University and a Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in nonprofit management from IUPUI’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). She is an AmeriCorps Alum and has a background in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems.  Sarah is an active member of the Central Indiana Association of Volunteer Administrators (CIAVA), a Big Sister, a Girls Inc program facilitator, and a School on Wheels tutor. She is an avid supporter of Indianapolis nonprofits, events, and businesses.  While she strives to provide professional content about millennials, service, and the nonprofit sector, she’d like you to know that the views on her blog do not necessarily reflect those of her employer or agencies she volunteers with. (But she hopes they enjoy her posts, too!) In her free time, Sarah likes cheering on the Colts, reading, doing projects around her new home, and of course, volunteering.
